fibercalc is a collection of free online calculators for knitters and crocheters — tools for increasing evenly, converting gauge, working out cast on counts, and other repetitive pattern math.

It's built for anyone working from a pattern, adapting one to a different yarn or gauge, or designing their own: beginners who don't want to do the arithmetic by hand, and experienced makers who'd rather spend their time on the stitches than the sums.

The idea behind fibercalc is simple: the math involved in knitting and crochet patterns is repetitive and easy to get wrong by hand, so these tools exist to take care of it.

Every result here is an estimate based on the numbers you enter. Your swatch and gauge are always the final word — check your work against them before committing to a project.

fibercalc is free to use and doesn't require an account. It's made and run by Pious Angel, and kept free by the ads you see on it.
