How to use
- Enter the size in tiles (blocks): the width and height of your grid. For a graphghan, that is the pixels across and down of your chart.
- Read the three phases: increase every row up to the shorter side, work straight for the difference between the sides, then decrease to the far corner.
- The total diagonal rows and total blocks tell you the size of the job at a glance.
- Each tile is one small block — commonly 3 double crochet — worked on the diagonal.

- C2C is worked diagonally from one corner. You increase one tile per row until the diagonal reaches the shorter side, work straight while it crosses the longer side, then decrease to the opposite corner.
- For a square there is no straight section — you increase to the middle, then decrease.
- A graphghan reads its colour chart tile by tile along each diagonal row; the tile counts here match the chart’s pixel grid.

- How many rows is a C2C blanket?
- The diagonal row count is the tiles wide plus the tiles high, minus one. This calculator gives that along with how many of those rows increase, stay straight, or decrease.
- What is a "tile" or block?
- The small square unit C2C is built from, usually 3 double crochet (or a chain-and-stitches block). One tile equals one pixel on a graphghan chart.
- How do I size it to real dimensions?
- Crochet one tile, measure it, and divide your target blanket width and height by the tile size to get the tiles wide and high. Then enter those here.
